James Drugan, who has been spending his furlough at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Drugan, left Thursday for Miami, Fla., for reassignment.

Technical Sergeant Hubert Drugan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Drugan, Sr., Trempealeau, was discharged from the army July 3 with 116 points and is now home. Drugan was inducted March 3, 1941, and trained at Ft. Benning, Ga. He went overseas October 15, 1942, and took part in the Algerian, French-Moroccan, Sicilian, Normandy, northern France, Ardennes, Rheinland and central European campaigns. He received the Good Conduct ribbon, American Defense Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern theater ribbon with one silver star and two bronze battle stars. He served with the Second Armored Division, known as the "Hell on Wheels" division, a part of the Ninth Army. He has one brother in service, Private James Drugan, formerly stationed in Burma for two years, now at Ft. Snelling. Previous to entering service Corporal Drugan worked as a bridge builder for the Chicago & North Western Railroad.
