bullet  General Notes:

Frank was apparently enumerated twice for the 1880 census when he only about 20 years old: once with his aunt, Margaret Arnspiger-Mountjoy in Logan County, Illinois and a second time with another aunt, Amanda Arnspiger-Mountjoy in nearby McLean County. His parents and the rest of his family had moved to Champaign County, Illinois approximately 100 miles away about 1872 and remained there until about 1885 when they moved to Nebraska. Frank and his other brother, George, who was also staying with aunts, would not rejoin their family until around 1890 in Nebraska.

NOTE - George and his brother Frank were living with their aunt, Margaret Arnspiger, who married Robert L. Mountjoy. Their parents had moved to Champaign County, Illinois about 100 miles away around 1872 and for some unknown reason, these two older boys at age 10 and 12 were left with their aunt. Around 1885 the parents and the rest of the family moved from Champaign County, Illinois to Nebraska. Both George and Frank would eventually move to Nebraska by 1890 but it appears that between 1870 and 1890 they both had only limited contact with their family.

If his birth date was 27 Dec 1860, then his age should have been 19 instead of 20.
