Was one of Creek, Missouri's biggest bootleggers during the Prohibition! He lived some of the time in Springfield, Missouri.

Clyde Alsup had lived a storied life. He was a man of an easy going character, and he was well liked in his community. He raised a large family. His house caught fire and burned down. He wound up working in the oil fields, where he lost an eye. Due to his disability, he had to do something to provide for his family. Oklahoma was a dry state, and Clyde began making more than pocket money selling "White Lightning".
People would come over to his house late in the evening to procure imbibements. When Oklahoma became a wet state, Clyde purchased a liquor store and some other profitable businesses, along with a small shopping center. He subsequently became a successful businessman, and he provided well for his family.
