George L. Wymer, aged 59 years, who had been a resident of Muscatine for the past 50 years, died at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, at 7 AM today. He had been ill for the past two weeks with complications. His home was at 605 West Seventh Street.

The son of James and Eunice Lightfoot Wymer, he was born at Springdale, Iowa on May 7, 1890. He married Nellie Koll in Muscatine on June 9, 1909.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Wymer of Muscatine; two sons, Charles Wymer with the U. S. Navy at Norfolk, Norfolk, Virginia, and Norton Wymer of Muscatine; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Figg and Mrs. Raymond Lange, both of Muscatine; two brothers, James and Luke Wymer of Drummond, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Stratton and Mrs. Ray Fisher, both of Muscatine and Mrs. H. D. Baker of Riceville, Iowa; and eight grandchildren. His parents, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home and services will be held there at 2 PM Friday. The Rev. M. D. Kilver of the Grace English Lutheran church will be in charge. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
