Cyrus and wife, Theresa, are not found in the 1870 US Census. Because their son, Avon, was born in Dec 1870 in Springfield Township, Williams County, Ohio, both Cyrus and Theresa should show up in the census there but so far I am unable to locate the name in any of the indexes. One problem may be the possible multiple spelling variations of the last name.

They moved to Nebraska by 1880 where they appeared there in the census but once again their names disappear from all future census records. Their son, Avon, and his wife show up in the census still living in Nebraska. Later in life, Avon dies in California.
