Apparently most other researchers have the year of birth and year of death for Alcinda wrong. They provide a birth year of 1837 instead of 1836 and a death year of 1895 instead of 1893. This is probably another example of blindly copying Internet data without providing or checking source citations.
The gravestone for Alcinda Fast-Travis clearly indicates 1836 - 1893. The database archive entitled "West Virginia Deaths, 1853-1970" provides an exact date of death as 24 Aug 1893 so those two sources are in agreement that the year of death was 1893 instead of 1895. Her age was given as 57 which results in a calculated year of birth of 1836 which is in agreement with the gravestone.
