bullet  General Notes:

[Family Tree Maker WFT 701, Vol. 1, Ed. 1, Tree #1276 submitted by Dorothy Danner]

They had no children. Charles B. Darner numbered among the thrifty and prosperous farmers of Middletown district, resides two miles west of Middletown on the road that leads from the old national pike to Burkittsville. He was born on a farm near Burkittsville, Frederick County, Maryland 31 Jan 1866 and is the son of Henry and Mary Darner.

Charles B. Darner was reared on the farm near Burkittsville, Maryland. He received his education in the public schools of the neighborhood. He chose farming as his life's work and has also followed that occupation. In 1895, he purchased his present farm of 61 acres, one of the most fertile tracts in Middletown valley. This farm has a new barn, with a first class silo, and a good two-story frame dwelling house. Mr. Darner is a progressive agriculturist, and has his place under a good state of cultivation. The farm is situated six hundred feed above sea level, and the house is furnished with water by a wind mill. In politics, Mr. Darner is a stanch adherent of the Republican party, but he has never aspired to office. In church circles, he is a consistent member of Christ Reformed Church of Middletown.

Mr. Darner was married 3 Jan 1893 to Alta may Zecher, daughter of Daniel D. and Catharine (Dutrow) Zecher of Burkittsville, Maryland.

Executor of will for Charles B. Darner is Alta M. Dated 22 Oct 1934.
