On the 1870 census, Anna Catherine was widowed and apparently living with Irone(?) Fapp and his family. I'm not sure if there was any relationship to either the Fapps or to his wife, Elizabeth. There is strong speculation that his wife was actually Anna Catherine's daughter, Elizabeth, who could have been the same age of 41 as reported on the census if the daughter were actually born about 1829. The exact birth year of the daughter is not known but she was most probably born in Ohio whereas on the census, the wife reported her birth location to be Indiana. Not knowing the exact birth year or ages makes it difficult to be sure if they were the same person. If they were the same person, this would explain why Anna Catherine would have been staying with the family, otherwise I have to assume that the families were not related at all.
