  Marriage Notes:

Some researchers want to show a daughter, Lynna, born to Laura in 1858 without realizing that she would have been only 11 years old at the time of birth.

The 1880 US Census seems to hold the key to properly assigning the correct relationship of Lynna in which she was listed as a "sister-in-law" which means she was one of Laura's sisters. She had only one sister named Melinda and one-half sister named Eva Idalia Border Darner.

It is highly probable that Lynna was a nickname for Melinda. The age given for Lynna on the 1880 US Census matches that of Melinda as does her birth location. Thus Lynna Darner was actually Melinda Darner.
