Andrew Spencer, son of Henry and Margaret Ann (Wymer) Spencer, was born November 24, 1894, near Springdale, Cedar County, Iowa. He married Mary Moses in July 21, 1925 in Iowa City. He retired in 1962 as an inspector at Slvyer Steel Corporation, Riverside Division, Bettendorf, Iowa. Before that he farmed at various farms around Cedar County, Iowa. He was a veteran of World War I and a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge, Rochester, Iowa. Andrew died April 28, 1982 at the Good Samaritan Nursing and Retirement Center, Davenport, Scott, Iowa. Services were at the McGinnis Funeral Home with burial in the Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
