bullet  General Notes:

William Lightfoot (born 1745) also appears to have gone to Fairfax where he was taxed regularly after 1782. In 1789, he is on the taxes with three males tithes, himself, D. and William Lightfoot, Jr. The inventory of his estate, 19 Jul 1826, is recorded in Fairfax Will Book O, pp. 404-405; he also had a slave, Jacob, in Loudon County named in another inventory, pp. 403-404. At the sale of the estate, returned 16 Jul 1827, Mrs. Lightfoot and Margaret Lightfoot were among the purchasers (pp. 405-407) and an accounting by Augustine P. Smith, administrator (Will Book P, pp. 16 0-162) mentions a letter from Catharine Lightfoot.

August 30, 2002, E-mail from Keith A. Dull:

He married Sarah (Unknown) about 1779, and settled in Fairfax, Virginia about 1779. He provided the Revolutionary Army with 320 pounds of beef in 1782. He was taxed with nine people in 1785, and was also taxed in 1787. He appeared in Fairfax records on October 17, 1790 and probably died about 1790-1792. His widow, or daughter appears to have married Johnston Jenkins in Fairfax County on 1 Feb 1793. William and Sarah had the following children (all but the last is recorded in Richmond County, North Farnham Parish, Virginia):
--Daniel, born on February 20, 1768
--Elizabeth, born on June 23, 1769
--William, born on May 4, 1771
--John, born on February 19, 1773
--Sarah, born on May 1, 1775

She seems to have done extensive research on the Lightfoot family and has more information on the "original" Daniel Lightfoot's wife's family, the Algar/Kennedys. She mentioned in her letter to Yvonne's aunt that she had received much of her information from a cousin, Donna Trapnell in San Diego, California.
