5 Dorothy J. Heishman, 84, of La Crosse died on Thursday, July 27, 1995 in Lutheran Hospital. She was born on July 12, 1911 in Brooklyn, Iowa, to George and Maude (Kaiser) Lyman. She married E. Wayne Heishman on Oct. 10, 1931, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dorothy was a rural elementary school teacher in the Brooklyn, Iowa area for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in La Crosse.

In addition to her husband, E. Wayne, she is survived by a daughter, Doris (George) Riniker of West Salem, Wisconsin; a son, John (Kathy) Heishman of Des Plaines, Illinois; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three sisters, Marie Hladky of Fort Meyers, Fla., Hazel Dolmage of Victor, Iowa and Bernice (Truman) Reida of Lake View, Iowa. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wayne in 1958; a sister, Thelma Mohr, and two brothers, Cloyd and Cecil Lyman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 29, 1995 in the Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home in La Crosse. The Rev. Michael L. Frandsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 AM until time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
