  General Notes:

William was enumerated twice for the 1900 US Census, once living with his parents on 13 June 1900 and then a second time on 26 June 1900 as living with his married sister, Clara, and her family. On the census with his parents, he listed his occupation as a painter but living with his sister, his occupation was given as a farm laborer.

And just to prove how inaccurate the birth dates and ages on census reports can be, the census from his parents showed a birth date of Nov 1871 with an age of 28. Thirteen days later while he was then living with his sister, he provided a birth date of Nov 1870 and an age of 29.

William's birth was never recorded when he was first born in 1871 in Wayne County, Ohio. He petitioned for a delayed birth registration on 8 Dec 1942 and the Probate Court granted his petition.

Funeral services 1 PM Saturday at the Hilliard Funeral Home, Rev. Philip L. Gould officiating. Interment Woodlawn. Friends may call at the Funeral Home.
