bullet  Birth Notes:

The calculated birth date is based on an age of 42y 1m 3d at the time of death according to the gravestone.

bullet  Death Notes:

Some researchers show a death date of 1883 but the gravestone clearly indicates 1838. This is probably a case of where one researcher inadvertently transposed the last two numbers and many other researchers merely copied the incorrect death date in spite of the fact that the gravestone also gives her exact age when she died. If one were to use the incorrect death date of 1883, then the age at death would be way off.

bullet  Burial Notes:

Age at death on gravestone is age 42y 1m 3d.

[Brøderbund WFT Vol. 7, Ed. 1, Tree #1334]
"This account is in the family record. George Fast and Susannah Shough were born in Pennsylvania, and moved to Ohio when my Mother, Catherine Fast Fluke, was a babe. Grandmother Fast rode horseback part of the trip, carrying Mother in her arms. Indians were plentiful and the land covered with timber."

Their sons, Phillip and Jesse, and their daughters, Mary Ann and Catherine, all moved to Iowa.
