bullet  Marriage Notes:

There is some confusion about the names of the children. On the 1900 US Census, the mother, Sarah, indicated that she had a total of 7 children and 6 remained alive. Based on the various census reports, there are a total of 8 discernable names and birth years.

The list of children includes two different Jacobs. At first glance it might be easy to say that the first Jacob who was born in 1847 was the same as the Jacob born in 1855 but that is not correct because the 1860 US Census clearly shows two different sons, each with the name Jacob, but with different middle initials and different ages.
