7 Ruth M. Gilpin, 79, of Jerome died Monday, April 2, 2001, at her home.

She was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Winona, Minn., the daughter of David G. and Lena L. Hanson Drugan. She married David N. Gilpin in 1951 in Petersburg.

Mrs. Gilpin was a member of Woodside Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 755.

Survivors: husband, David; a son, Michael Gilpin of Springfield; four daughters, Cheryl (husband, Paul) Robillard of Scottsdale, Arizona, Patrice Burg of Divernon, Susan (husband, Mike) Miller of Elkhart and Nancy (husband, James) Armstrong of Auburn; a stepson, David N. Gilpin of Laramie, WY.; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers, David Drugan of Winona, Minn., John Drugan of Warren, Mich., and William Drugan of Atlanta; a sister, Martha Westphal of Modesto, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday, Bisch Funeral Home West, the Rev. William Schroeder officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Ruth was born in Winona on September 12, 1921 to David Drugan Sr. and Lena (Hanson) Drugan. She was a 1940 graduate of Winona Senior High School.

Ruth is survived by her husband, David; one son; four daughters; three granddaughters; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; a sister; and three brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Bernice and Margaret.

Services were held in Springfield on Thursday, April 5.
