1 HEART ATTACK FATAL TO WILLIAM DRUGAN, 64, OF TREMPEALEAU
William Drugan, 64, lifelong resident of Trempealeau, died Tuesday noon at Midway depot, 12 miles southeast of here, where he had been working. Cause of death was a heart attack.

Mr. Drugan had heart trouble for some time, but was able to continue work. Yesterday morning he complained of not being well, but went to work as usual. However, he became more ill and other workers at Midway said they'd take him home after lunch. He died while they were eating.

He had been employed by the Chicago & Northwestern Railway in the bridge and building department 40 years.

The son of Eliza and Patrick Drugan, he was born here July 11, 1882. He attended Trempealeau schools and was first employed at a general merchandise store here.

At the age of 19 he started to work for the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy railroad and after four years he opened a livery service with his brother, Edward. After four years he took a job with the Chicago & Northwestern.

His wife, the former Lena Zimmerman of Minnesota City, whom he married January 5, 1910 at Ettrick and their three children survive. Other survivors include five grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Anna) Hamernik and a brother Edward, both of Winona.

The children are Mrs. Gile (Edith) Harris and Mrs. Forrest (Audrey) Thompson, both of La Crosse, and Kenneth, Trempealeau.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home at Galesville this evening and the rosary will be said here at 8 p.m. Thursday at the home here.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church. The Rev. John Murphy will offer the requiem mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers, all railroad men, will be Thomas Jessessky, Harold Parr, Harry Walcheck, Walter Lampey, Hubert Drugan and Peter Woestman.
