Thomas Lightfoot age 66 died at the home of his son-in-law Charles Young in the East part of town Thursday afternoon at 1:50 o'clock of pneumonia. He is survived by a wife and 9 children.

Thomas J. Lightfoot, aged 67 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Young, in this city, last Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, from pneumonia.

Mr. Lightfoot was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Lightfoot, and was born in the State of Indiana, in 1850. After the war, at the age of 17 years, he came to Missouri, where he resided ever since. On April 28, 1872, he was united in marriage to Miss Sallie E. Rife, who survives him. Eleven children were born of this union, nine of whom are living: Mrs. L. H. Vaughn, Keokuk, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Young, Carrollton; Edwin died in 1909; Thomas died when very small; William L., of Carrollton; Mrs. Camp Mirick, Ft. Worth, Texas; Homer, Kansas City; Victor, Kansas City; Gilbert, Kansas City; Mrs. Roy Preston, Kansas City; and Richard, who is in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Lightfoot had been in poor health for some time, and on Monday of last week he was stricken with pneumonia, and sank rapidly from the first, the end coming on Thursday, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Young, last Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. G. L. Bush, and the body was taken to Oak Hill Cemetery for interment.
