Missing from the family was the youngest daughter, Margaret, who would have been about 9 years old at the time. Her name was probably just mistakenly left out by the census enumerator.

John married Adah Archer, daughter of George W. Archer and Rebecca Church, about 1832 in Ohio. (Adah Archer was born in 1810 in Ohio ¹¹ and died between 1846 and 1850 in Iowa.)
