The following comes from 'Your Grandmother Rands,' received from Dorothy Damewood Rands in August 1998. This was apparently written by Agnes May Miller Rands:

"Sarah Elizabeth Arnsberger Rands was born May 26, 187- on a farm near Guide Rock, Nebraska. After they moved to Butler Island, she was president of Ladies Aid and held an office in the Neighbors of Woodcraft Lodge. She played the organ at church services. She always accompanied Grandfather on the piano or organ when he played the violin. They played at church, social gatherings and sometimes for dances that were in the Mormon Church. She was always very neat and tidy. A good woman. Pleasant and kind."
